Obwohl sich die Erscheinungstermine der meisten Neuheiten seit längerer Zeit in den Herbst verlagert haben, kamen aber immerhin noch knapp 10 Seiten Messebericht in dieser Ausgabe der spielbox® zusammen. Vielleicht ändern sich die Erscheinungstermine aber durch die neue Verbrauchermesse „SPIEL DOCH! in Duisburg“ demnächst wieder ein wenig zugunsten des Frühjahres. Kein großer, aber ein durchaus erkennbarer Trend ist das Thema „Baum“. Zumindest finden sich in der aktuellen Ausgabe fünf Spiele, in denen Bäume eine große Rolle spielen. Im Herbst 2017 haben Inka und Markus Brand mit „Rajas of the Ganges“ ihr 100stes Spiel veröffentlicht. Wieder ein guter Grund mit den beiden über Vergangenheit und Zukunft zu sprechen. Der Entstehungsprozess eines Spiels ist immer wieder ein Thema in der spielbox®, natürlich auch, weil dieser Prozess bei jedem Spiel anders und spannend ist.
